Our last installment of the 9ways Global Indigenous Shamanic Studies program was CORE; this workshop begins our tour of the
ELEMENTS. As always, the 9ways approach to this subject is to make shamanism an approachable, learnable, and do-able endeavor.
Hosted by Mitch Nur, PhD, senior instructor and Founder of 9ways, Spiritual Director of Studio 116, and Board Member and Officer
of Bon Shen Ling. Mitch has studied and trained with shamans from the many spiritual traditions including, Nepalese, Tuvan,
Native American, Mexican, and Peruvian. He is also regarded as a 'Nagpa" by Bon and Buddhist Lamas, and he continues
his compassionate studies with various Bon Lamas, as well as a high Lama of the Nyingma School from Amdo. What seperates Mitch
from all the other instructors in the USA, just ask one of his students.
For those students who did not attend the CORE, please give serious consideration to EARTH. It is not mandatory to make
each installment, programs overlap, so you don't miss very much and overviews are presented each time. Global Indigenous Shamanic
studies is now in it's 5th year in New England, and continuous at Circles for the past 3 years.
EARTH. . . our home, our beginning, our field of training. Our personal history and our birth began here. It is this very
place where we will begin our adventure into the ELEMENTS of the 9ways shamanic program. Knowing the past, and in this case
our distant past, and how we came to this point, will enable us to take the necessary steps on the shamanic path. Foundational
principles are laid brick by brick, the sightseeing trip is over, now is the time for serious study. Returning student discount
applies to this program.
**MINDFOLDS or another type of eyecovering is required, notebook or journal, a Rattle AND Drum, and a bottle of water should
be brought with you. If you don't own a rattle or drum, one will be provided for class use.
